Tian Daomin, Secretary of the Party Committee, Led the ZZRVTC Team to Participate in the 2023 National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest Award Ceremony and 30th Anniversary Celebration

On November 19, 2023, the National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest Award Ceremony and commemoration of its 30th anniversary were held in Beijing.

On November 19, 2023, the National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest Award Ceremony and commemoration of its 30th anniversary were held in Beijing. The meeting was hosted by the organizing committee of the National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest and organized by Xi'an Jiaotong University. The meeting was attended by Guan Xiaohong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and director of the Organizing Committee of the National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest, Chai Wei, vice president of Xi'an Jiaotong University, members of the Organizing Committee of the National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest, responsible experts, and award-winning representatives from over 130 undergraduate colleges and universities and more than 20 vocational colleges and universities across China. Mr. Tian Daomin, Secretary of the Party Committee of ZZRVTC, led the heads of the Academic Affairs Office, the School of Electronic Engineering, and the representatives of teachers and students from ZZRVTC who won the national awards to attend the award ceremony.

During the 30th anniversary ceremony,ZZRVTC was honored with the 30th Anniversary Outstanding Contribution Award of the National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest. Mr. Tian Daomin, Secretary of the Party Committee, went on stage to receive the award.The General Assembly recognized nine teams from ZZRVTC at the 2023 National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest Award Ceremony. Among them, 6 teams won the national first prize, 3 teams won the national second prize, and the team comprising students from Railway Signal 21A1 Wu Xinyu, Internet of Things 21A2 Jia Xingyu, and High-speed Railway Comprehensive and Maintenance 21A1 Hu Mingyu won the TI Cup—the highest prize in the higher vocational and post-secondary group of the contest. In addition, Mr. Liang Mingliang won the Individual Award for the 30thAnniversary Outstanding Organization and Mr. Wang Yunfei won the Individual Award for the 30thAnniversary Outstanding Contribution of the National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest.

Sponsored by the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and the Department of Personnel of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 1994, the National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest stands as a pivotal scientific and technological event for undergraduates. It is currently one of the most widely participated and influential undergraduate disciplinary competitions nationwide. The contest has played a crucial role in enhancing the engineering practice and scientific innovation abilities of undergraduates. Since the competition, ZZRVTC has won a total of 30 first prizes in the national electronic design competition. In addition, it has consistently hosted the evaluation and comprehensive assessment of the 2019, 2021, and 2023 National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contests in Henan. These efforts have garnered unanimous praise and affirmation from experts within and outside the province, as well as from teachers and students at participating colleges and universities. In the 2023 National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest, over 60,000 undergraduates from 1,134 colleges and universities, forming 20,939 teams, took part in the competition. The School of Electronic Engineering and the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at ZZRVTC created 46 teams to participate in the contest, ultimately achieving the highest national honor, the TI Cup.ZZRVTC won 6 first prizes and 3 second prizes at the national level. With this success, ZZRVTC has maintained its position as the champion with the most first prizes for nine consecutive years in the National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest, ranking first among vocational colleges in China. This accomplishment has brought honor to higher education in Henan Province.
