The Sino-Russian Vocational Education Exchange and Cooperation Seminar was successfully held

On December 22, the Sino-Russian Vocational Education Exchange and Cooperation Seminar was successfully held at our College. Yu Yougen, Deputy Secretary-General of China Education Association for International Exchange, Jiang Zhongliang, Education Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Russia, Xu Hengzhen, Secondary Inspector of Henan Provincial Department of Education, Xu Yan, Party Secretary of our College, and Ma Yuxia, president of our college attended the online conference.

On December 22, the Sino-Russian Vocational Education Exchange and Cooperation Seminar was successfully held at our College. Yu Yougen, Deputy Secretary-General of China Education Association for International Exchange, Jiang Zhongliang, Education Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Russia, Xu Hengzhen, Secondary Inspector of Henan Provincial Department of Education, Xu Yan, Party Secretary of our College, and Ma Yuxia, president of our college attended the online conference.  More than 100 representatives from government departments, trade associations, vocational colleges and training institutions from China and Russia participated in the online seminar.

    In his speech, College Party Secretary Xu Yan expressed his thanks to guests and colleagues for meeting online and seeking common development. Xu Yan pointed out that our college attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with similar universities and colleges in Russia. The Sino-Russian cooperative education project started early and is large in scale. The bilateral exchanges have been carried in various forms and fruitful results have been obtained. Our college takes the Sino-foreign cooperative education project as a platform and has established a normalized exchange and mutual visit mechanism for teachers and students. We have been actively implementing the four-in-one teaching management model of discussing together to establish a standard, cultivating talents together, resource sharing, process co-management, carrying out regular scientific research exchanges, working together to transform innovation achievements, comprehensively deepening education and teaching reform, and comprehensively   improving the construction of majors and the quality of talent training, so as to open up a broad path for college students growth and lay a solid foundation for the innovation and development of our college.

Xu Yan emphasized that by focusing on high-level vocational schools and professional construction plans with Chinese characteristics, our college has worked extensively on improving the level of teaching and research and making every effort to expand the opening up of education. In the future, we will continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation with Russian colleges and universities, make new friends but not forget old friends, consolidate and expand the Sino-Russian bilateral educational cooperation mechanism, and play a leading role in building a community of shared future for mankind.

 

Online exchange, study and discussion

With the theme of Sino-Russian Vocational Education Cooperation in the Post-epidemic Era, the participants of the seminar discussed topics such as international technical standards and skilled talent cultivation, bilateral people and cultural exchanges between China and Russia, trans-border flow of students, and jointly explored the establishment of a normalized bilateral exchange mechanism.

Yu Yougen, Deputy Secretary-General of China Education Association for International Exchanges, stated that the current Sino-Russian people and cultural exchange mechanism is entering a more mature, stable and vital stage. Personal exchanges have become more frequent and fruitful cooperation in various fields have been obtained.  China Education Association for International Exchange will continue to promote mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Russia related to vocational education, lay a more solid foundation for promoting the development of bilateral relations between the two countries and for building a community with a shared future for mankind.

Jiang Zhongliang, Education Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Russia, emphasized that the relationship between China and Russia is currently at an all-time high point, laying a solid and stable political foundation for educational cooperation and exchanges between the two sides. The “Belt and Road” initiative and the construction of the Eurasian Economic Union has also provided a strong impetus for educational exchanges between the two sides. Based on the needs of both economic and social development, the two governments have agreed to take vocational education cooperation as a priority for future cooperation.

Xu Hengzhen, the secondary inspector of the Henan Provincial Department of Education, pointed out that Henan Province regards high-level opening to the outside world as an important impetus for driving the high-quality development of vocational education in the province. In the next step, we will promote Sino-Russian vocational education cooperation to reach a new stage for higher level and deeper understanding cooperation and make positive contributions to building a closer Sino-Russian strategic cooperative partnership. In addition, Nikolayevich, the vice president of the Far Eastern State Transport University, and other participants expressed good wishes for Sino-Russian bilateral vocational education cooperation during their speeches.

Our college president Ma Yuxia said when presiding over the seminar, that the seminar received strong support from the Ministry of Education and the positive response of the Russian Ministry of Transport Railway Administration, 15 Sino-Russian vocational colleges, and applied undergraduate colleges, demonstrated the high expectations of all parties for Sino-Russian vocational education cooperation.Our college is willing to be a good host, set up a large platform, and make positive contributions to the in-depth cooperation of Sino-Russian vocational education and the common development of Sino-Russian vocational colleges.

During the exchange , representatives from colleges and universities shared the results and experiences of Sino-Russian inter-school exchanges from different perspectives, and put forward ideas and expectations for Sino-Russian bilateral vocational education cooperation in the post-epidemic era. These colleges and universities include 5 Russian educational institutionsRussian Railway Administration Training Center, Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, Voronezh State Agrarian University, Urals State University of Railway Transport, Far Eastern State Transport University, and 4 Chinese collegesZibo Vocational Institute, Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute, Tourism College of Zhejiang, Shandong Vocational Animal Science and Veterinary College.

Finally, He Pei, the director of the Vocational Education and Training Department of China Education Association for International Exchange, made suggestions for future Sino-Russian vocational education cooperation from three aspects: focusing on characteristic advantages, adhering to joint construction and sharing, and practicing educational cooperation multilateralism.

This seminar is the first bilateral vocational education exchange seminar held under the framework of the BRICS countries. It is of great significance to promote vocational education exchanges and cooperation among BRICS countries.
