Recently, the China Education Association for International Exchange and Higher Education Press jointly announced the selected courses for the High-Quality Internationalized Teaching Resources Cloud Exhibition for Higher Vocational Education and the first batch of courses to be launched on the Future of Africa—China-Africa TVET Cooperation Program Afriknowledge Hub. Three courses submitted by ZZRVTC—EMU Operation and Management, EMU Brake System Maintenance and Inspection, and Locomotive Control—were successfully selected and will be showcased on the International Channel of the National Smart Education Public Service Platform and the Future Africa Vocational Education Digital Resource Platform.
The three selected courses are premium courses developed by ZZRVTC in recent years for the Belt and Road railway transportation projects. The course design is centered on the core concepts of action-oriented, student-centered, and competency-based education, closely aligning with new technologies, processes, standards, and norms in industry development. Through the systematic development of a large number of multilingual animated materials in Chinese and English, the courses vividly and intuitively demonstrate the working processes of core components and the operational procedures of key steps, significantly enhancing the courses' interactivity and appeal. During actual teaching, instructors innovatively adopted the Dual-Track, Dual-Interaction, Seven-Ring, Five-Integration teaching model tailored to the characteristics of overseas students, achieving remarkable teaching results. Since 2022, these courses have been consecutively recognized as Henan Province's Premium Online Open Courses for Vocational Education and Provincial First-Class Core Courses for Vocational Education.
According to the published list, a total of 20 courses developed by 13 institutions were included in the Future of Africa—China-Africa TVET Cooperation Program Afriknowledge Hub, with ZZRVTC ranking first nationwide in the number of selected courses. Moving forward, ZZRVTC will leverage the second phase of the Double High Plan as a guide, focusing on core skills for key positions, integrating cutting-edge digital technologies, and developing localized and modularized international vocational education resources. These efforts aim to provide critical talent support and intellectual resources for advancing the Belt and Road international capacity cooperation and the localized development of overseas Chinese enterprises.
