On September 22, the launch ceremony for the practical teaching session of the  driver training program for TanzaniaRailways Corporation was held at ZZRVTC. Xu Hongtao, Project Manager of the Domestic Support Department of China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation East Africa Company, Liu Xiaofang, Deputy Dean of the School of International Education at Beijing Jiaotong University, and Lu Yanqi, Vice President of ZZRVTC, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Heads of relevant functional departments, secondary colleges, teacher representatives, and project trainees participated in the event.

On behalf of the college, Lu Yanqi extended a warm welcome to the Tanzanian trainees who had traveled a long way. She emphasized that the college has accumulated rich experience in training railway drivers and developing rail transit technology, possesses an advanced simulation driving training center, a professional teaching team, and a complete practical teaching system, and can provide trainees with a training environment seamlessly connected to real railway operations. She hoped that the trainees would cherish the learning opportunity, maintain a rigorous and serious attitude, successfully complete the practical tasks, and forge themselves into excellent railway drivers, injecting new vitality into the development of Tanzania's transportation industry.

In his speech, Xu Hongtao pointed out that railways are the "steel bond" of China-Tanzania friendship, and "practical ability" is the core support for this bond to remain vibrant. He believed that under the careful guidance of ZZRVTC, the trainees would not only master advanced railway maintenance and operation skills but also experience the development philosophy of "practice brings true knowledge" in China's railway sector, and in the future, become "technical backbones" of Tanzania's railway industry and "civilian ambassadors" for China-Tanzania technical exchanges.

Liu Xiaofang stated that Beijing Jiaotong University is committed to serving transportation development, has long been dedicated to railway education and technology research, and has accumulated rich experience in international railway talent cultivation. The university will closely cooperate with the ZZRVTC team, closely monitor the trainees' learning progress, ensure teaching organization, safety, and services, and work together with China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation and Tanzania Railway Corporation to ensure the successful completion of the practical teaching phase.

A total of 24 employees from Tanzania Railway Corporation participated in this training. Over the course of three months, the trainees will systematically study core skills such as train operation, troubleshooting, signal recognition, and emergency handling under abnormal conditions, laying a solid foundation for the safe and efficient operation of the Tanzania Central Line Standard Gauge Railway (SGR).
