On January 15, the launching ceremony for Chinese language teaching at the Zhan Tianyou Institute in Ethiopia was held online. Ms. Sise, Director of the Education and Training Center of the Ethiopian Railways Corporation—Railway Institute, Mr. Yetakis, Zhan Tianyou Project Coordinator, heads of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office and the Basic Teaching Department of ZZRVTC, and teachers from the Chinese language teaching team attended the event.
At the ceremony, representatives from both China and Ethiopia delivered speeches, expressing their best wishes for the smooth implementation of the Chinese language teaching program. Both sides agreed that learning Chinese is not only an improvement in language skills but also an important bridge for promoting professional exchanges and mutual understanding between cultures. Moving forward, the two sides will gradually carry out comprehensive professional cooperation based on language teaching and jointly explore new models for international talent cultivation. Afterwards, the Chinese teachers responsible for this course gave a detailed introduction to the curriculum and conducted the first lesson.
The launch of this Chinese language teaching program marks a substantial step forward in the academic education project at the Zhan Tianyou Institute in Ethiopia.
