On December 5, ZZRVTC held the opening ceremony for the China-Malaysia Special Skills Training Program in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Vice President Lu Yanqi, Long Tianjun (Chairman of Malaysia’s Iputtra Science and Management College), Director Xue Baoming, and Associate Chief Physician Tian Zhonghua from Henan Provincial Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine attended the ceremony. Heads of relevant administrative departments and subordinate schools of ZZRVTC were also present.

Lu Yanqi introduced the development history of the college and the construction of its medical and health-related programs to the guests. She stated that the Chinese government has always attached great importance to the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese medicine, continuously promoting its modernization and internationalization. This China-Malaysia Special Skills Training Program in TCM is an important initiative by ZZRVTC to actively respond to national strategies, deepen international exchanges in TCM, and expand educational cooperation. In the program design, the college focused on the actual needs of trainees, built a curriculum system deeply integrating theory and practice, and, together with Henan Provincial Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, provided a clinical practice platform to help trainees master skills and gain a deep understanding of the essence of TCM culture.
Long Tianjun expressed his gratitude to ZZRVTC for providing Malaysian trainees with the opportunity for practical learning in TCM. He noted that local clinical teaching resources for TCM in Malaysia are relatively limited, so being able to rely on ZZRVTC and Henan Provincial Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine for both theoretical study and clinical practice is especially valuable for the trainees. He believes that through this training, the trainees will not only improve their clinical skills in TCM and deepen their understanding of TCM culture, but also help promote and spread TCM in Malaysia.

This special skills training program in traditional Chinese medicine is jointly organized by ZZRVTC, Malaysia’s Iputtra Science and Management College and Henan Provincial Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. The first group of 13 trainees will systematically study traditional Chinese medicine skills such as acupuncture, scraping, cupping, and auricular therapy over a two-week period, and personally experience the historical context and modern development of Chinese herbal culture.
